It All Happened in the Country

C-MENT Newsletter #4

Oct. 26, 2018

Dear Cast Families,

We continue to work hard and be in great shape as the weeks go by. Thanks to our cast for their time both in and out of rehearsal to learn their lines, lyrics and motions.

CHOREOGRAPHY/MUSIC

We are ahead of schedule with the music and on track to have the first four songs memorized by next Tuesday. Miss Adele plans on starting on Story of the Shepherds in the next two rehearsals.

MEMORIZATION

I want to applaud those cast members who have come to rehearsal with their lines and songs already memorized. It makes it so much easier to block scenes and teach choreography when the scripts are not in the way. Great job!

IMPORTANT REHEARSAL INFO FOR SAT., 10/27 & TUES., 10/30

Our rehearsal Saturday, 10/27 starts promptly at 9:00 a.m. Please plan to arrive 5-10 minutes early so that we can start on time. Thank you! Important:  there is no Costume Parade tomorrow, so rehearsal will finish at 12 pm. Please be sure to pick up your child in the Sanctuary at noon. We’ve also been asked to park closer to the street as the Korean Church will be using the parking lot near the preschool for an outdoor fair. Thank you! Finally, the Parent Meeting originally scheduled for next Tuesday, 10/30, has been postponed. We will give you the new date/time soon!

FLU SEASON SYMPTOMS/PRECAUTIONS

The flu season is definitely upon us! Please keep your child home if you become aware of these symptoms:  fever higher than 100.4 F, coughing, sneezing, runny nose, sore throat and/or body aches. Also, taking these precautions will help you and your family stay in good health in the coming months:  (1) cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze and throw the tissue in the trash afterward. Or, cough or sneeze into your upper sleeve, not your hands. (2) Wash your hands with soap and warm water for 20 seconds after coughing or sneezing, or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer. (3) Refrain from touching your face, especially your nose, mouth and eyes. We have been reminding our cast members of this but hearing it at home will help, too!
